2018 DSI & CID Board Nominations

Happy Spring!

It’s that time of year again! Nominations are open effective today through April 23, 2018, for board seats on the Downtown St. Louis Community Improvement District Board of Directors and the Downtown STL, Inc. Board of Directors.

Downtown STL, Inc.
The mission of Downtown STL, Inc. is to drive economic and social growth in Downtown St. Louis by fostering a place that reflects a diversity of people and businesses. We strengthen the urban core of the St. Louis metropolitan area through strategic initiatives, programs, and communications. We connect civic, philanthropic, business and government partners to align efforts in the ongoing evolution of a vibrant Downtown St. Louis.

The Board of Directors guides policies and resource deployment in alignment with the mission of the organization.  Directors serve a renewable 3-year term, limited to two consecutive terms. There may be up to 40 elected members on the board, and we currently have 12 open seats. The board meets bi-monthly between September and May on the 2nd Thursday of the month at noon.

Nominations for seats on the Board of Directors will be accepted through April 23, 2018. Nominations should include a one-paragraph biographical statement on the candidate. Self-nominations are welcome!

Downtown St. Louis Community Improvement District
The Downtown Community Improvement District (CID), a 501(c)3 organization as designated by the Internal Revenue Service, is a 180-square block area located in the center of Downtown, St. Louis. The District was established in January 2000 (and renewed in 2005 and 2010) by property owners who were committed to providing a cleaner, safer, and more attractive environment that would protect existing assets, attract new investment, and create a more vibrant business, residential, entertainment and hospitality community in the core of Downtown St. Louis.

The Board of Directors supervises the implementation of the Management Plan established to guide policies and resource deployment. Directors serve a renewable 3-year term, limited to two consecutive terms. There are 24 elected members on the board, with 5 current openings. The board meets bi-monthly between September and May on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at noon.
