Since the Downtown Development Action Plan (Downtown Now) was adopted in 1999, over $4.5 billion dollars have been invested in a remarkably diverse portfolio of projects throughout Downtown, St. Louis. From major projects like the Busch Stadium, Lumiere Place and Citygarden to over 100 historic renovations that now house hotels, lofts, offices and retail, there is a new spirit in Downtown, St. Louis. Despite the challenges of today’s economy, progress continues as an additional $500 million dollars in new development is planned for 2010 - 2011. Just as the Downtown Now Plan created a framework for the success of the past ten years, Downtown Next,The 2020 Vision for Downtown, St. Louis will serve as a blueprint for growth over the next ten years.
