Tudor Development, LP (
a partnership consisting of Robert Wood, Pete Rothschild, Dan
Holak and Tim Estepp) has invested $25 million into the
conversion of the entire north side of the 1900 block of
Washington Avenue into a vibrant mixed use property with the
historic renovation of the Tudor Building.
The 104,820 square foot
building was previously known as the Wrought Iron Range Company
Building and had been vacant for close to twenty years. The
project now has 64 residential loft units and 14 street level
commercial retail spaces.
Lofts feature original brick
interior walls, polished concrete floors, upgraded kitchen
appliances, clean urban lines, and lots of light from the
skylights and sun tunnels in each unit. Retail spaces feature
tin ceilings that can be seen from the street through the
clerestory windows along the renovated Washington Avenue
streetscape. The mixed use structure's distinctive stucco
and Tudor-style exterior was carefully restored and the clay
tiles roof was replaced to maintain its unique character.
PARIC Corp was the General Contractor and Klitzing
Welsch the architect. The property is managed by Robert
Wood Realty Company, LLC. For apartment leasing information,
contact Emily Lewis at 314.225.8007 and for commercial leasing

Alive Magazine in the 1900 block of Washington Avenue, directly
in front of the Tudor Building on Friday August 8th,
2008. The event will feature tours of the property, local
and state dignitaries as well as live music & entertainment.
Food and beverage will be catered by neighborhood restaurant

ST. LOUIS BIKE WEEK - Information for
Restaurants |
 |
 |
The Tour of Missouri bike race is
returning to St. Louis in September and your restaurant is
invited to participate. To celebrate this popular international
cycling event (Missouri's own Tour de France-style race), the
Local Organizing Committee is planning a Bike Week event from
September 7 - 14.
Restaurants are asked to place a Bike Week
special on their menus -- either a cocktail or meal special --
or both, themed to biking. (Example: Banana Bike
Breeze (a fruity cocktail), Gear Shift Grinder (sub sandwich),
etc. Just use your imagination and have fun!
The specials will be
promoted in a Bike Week brochure distributed through visitor
centers and hotels AND on the Tour of Missouri's St. Louis web
page. A strong PR effort will also get the word out about
Bike Week.
In addition, Art Dimensions will be asking St. Louis
artists to produce wildly imaginative Art Bikes which can be
displayed at participating restaurants. To participate, contact
Nancy or Mary at Insight Marketing & Communications at
314-962-6400 or by clicking
here. |
