Venezuelan Cuisine Finds A Home Downtown

What started as a farmers’ market favorite is now a brick-and-mortar restaurant in the heart of Downtown St. Louis. Sisters Mayra and Maria Pacheco opened Amaizing Arepa Bar (500 North 14th Street), serving fast-casual, authentic Venezuelan arepas, empanadas, and more.  
 
Why Downtown: “This is a good spot — we have the museums, Enterprise Center, Busch Stadium. We are just right there. We are seeing all this investment that the city is planning and developing, especially around the Washington Avenue area.” (thestl.com)
